There will be a series of road closures in place for the Manchester Caribbean Carnival this weekend
The Manchester Caribbean Carnival returns to south Manchester for another year of fun, live music and entertainment.
As usual, the carnival’s parade will begin and end at Alexandra Park in Moss Side - where the Carnival in the Park celebrations featuring live music, family-friendly entertainment and food stalls will be held.Now in its 52nd year, the parade will feature a bright array of outfits, dancers, and performers as thousands take to the streets to watch the procession go past.
"This year’s Manchester Caribbean Carnival is set to be a monumental celebration," Julia Burke, Chair and Project Manager for the Manchester Carnival Together Committee , said of the 2024 event. “We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the vibrant cultures that have shaped our city.”
