Manchester City will be without John Stones for 'a while', but that could have a knock-on effect on Kalvin Phillips' playing time.
For the first time this season at the fourth attempt, Manchester City won a game where Rodri didn't play.
"Now we are in trouble," Guardiola said on Tuesday. "We will have to play a bit differently , like Arsenal, it is not comfortable. Not change many variations. Phillips admitted recently that he may have to leave in order to get the game-time he needs to get into the England squad for the summer's Euros in Germany. In the space of a month, he's retained his spot in Gareth Southgate's plans despite no further starts, but patience will surely wear thin if he continues to scrap for substitute appearances when City are three or four to the good.
