The products will the be distributed to those struggling amid the cost of living crisis
A Manchester coffee shop is taking part in an initiative that will see them hand out free hot drinks in exchange for kindness as the festive season approaches. Mosley Street’s 200 Degrees is appealing for donations of basic hygiene items as part of a one-day Swap Shop scheme.
It comes as many people are unable to afford basic hygiene items as energy prices soar and people struggle to heat their homes. As a result, 200 Degrees are asking for the following products to be donated: CEO Rob Darby said: “The festive season is all about celebrating with friends and family, but with the current cost of living-crisis, there are sadly thousands of families who are facing challenging times and struggling to afford essential, everyday items.
Marcellus Baz, founder and CEO of Switch Up, described the initiative as ‘invaluable’, and hopes it will have a major impact on the community.
