A manhunt is underway in Dublin after a masked man wielding a knife killed a 34-year-old Nigerian asylum seeker and injured another man in a city centre incident. Gardaí (Irish police) have identified a chief suspect in connection with the attack, which occurred following an Afroswing gig on South Anne Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Shocking video footage was shared on social media shortly after the incident, showing a masked man swinging a large knife on a busy street around the time of the fatal attack. "I want the people that were involved to know that that type of violence is unacceptable in this city and this country and the people involved will be brought to justice," he added.
