“They explained that what had happened was they had been dropped off about an hour beforehand by a coach at Victoria station and that they didn’t know what to do now.

“But a group of 11 that were on the coach, they never had anyone with an address, they thought they were going to a hotel so they were just kind of dumped on the street.Mr Abbas bought clothes from Primark for those in the group that were left, some of whom were wearing flip-flops, and got food for four of them from McDonald’s.were contacted.

“As a charity that has worked with displaced people for nearly 60 years, we believe everyone deserves to be treated with humanity and dignity when seeking asylum in our country. “One person contacted us and we helped secure the transfer of most of the refugees to accomodation outside London, however at least one 18-year-old spent the night on the street and was in clear distress.
