Forecasters warn that motorists and bus riders should expect longer journey times while train passengers will likely see delays too, though driving is discouraged unlesss it’s a ‘must’.The rain warning covering much of Yorkshire and thunderstorm warning for most of central England and Wales are both in effect until 8pm, while the wind alert for the south coast lasts until 6pm.
