Marcus Rashford has been told to leave Manchester United by Simon Jordan after the England international was claimed to be not a world-class player
Simon Jordan has called for Marcus Rashford to leave Manchester United for both himself and the club. The under-performing England international has scored a mere eight goals this season. The Red Devils, currently eighth in the Premier League table, risk losing out on European qualification.
The forward's skills were debated on Three Up Front, hosted by Simon Jordan and featuring former footballers Troy Deeney and Graeme Souness, reports the Manchester Evening News. Reflecting on Rashford's stay in Manchester, Jordan said: "I think he's done. The problem with Marcus Rashford now is that well has been polluted, I think he has to move on as much for himself as potentially for Manchester United."
Referencing his recent dry spell in front of goal and some criticism over his perceived lack of effort, Liverpool icon Souness has weighed in with some harsh words. "When I was a player, no one was given permission to not track back, you'd sprint forward, and even quicker coming back no one was given a pass," the 71-year-old football pundit remarked.
