The collection, conceived amidst the political and social turmoil sparked by President Donald Trump's re-election, offered a comforting respite through its focus on cocooning silhouettes, layered styling, and tactile textures.
McManus used responsible mohair and wool blend sweaters, scarf coats, and organic cotton tees paired with the brand's newly introduced organic cotton denim to create a sense of warmth and security.The collection also incorporated collaborations with a 200-year-old lace mill, lending sensuality to a T-shirt dress and a Naia Renew sateen slip skirt and trousers. McManus' signature fabric, Naia Renew, is partially made from wood pulp and waste materials, reflecting her commitment to sustainable practices. Adding a touch of spiritual grounding, McManus worked with designer Ashley Moubayed on natural stone totems like prehnite, phantom quartz, tiger's eye, hematite, and natural beach stones, which served as both beautiful accents and symbols of protection and clarity.This collection was a deeply personal response to the anxieties of the times, as McManus acknowledged the difficulties of separating fashion from the larger political and social landscape.
