Mikel Arteta could lose one of his key Arsenal players Marseille have reportedly approached Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah just a day after agreeing terms on a deal to sign Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood. Nketiah featured regularly over the last season, making 37 appearances in all competitions and scoring six goals, but mostly as a substitute.
Greenwood is yet to agree personal terms with Marseille, though, and the Ligue 1 outfit will now look to finalise a deal with the United academy product and his entourage. De Zerbi hailed the 22-year-old as a ‘world-class player’ when asked about Greenwood, but the move has not pleased everyone, with local mayor Benoit Payan imploring club chief executive Pablo Longoria, to rethink the deal. ‘Greenwood’s behaviour is unspeakable, unacceptable.
