He shares when his real birthday is and he opens up about his new TV role

Martin King has opened up about leaving The Six O'Clock Show and he reflected on turning 60 after his milestone birthday in January.

Martin told RSVP Magazine: "I’m still getting used to getting out of bed at stupid o’clock on Friday morning. When the alarm goes off at 4.30am, I curse all my bosses! "They said that Simon had stepped away from Ireland AM and they had a big hole to fill on the show and I was the perfect fit. "The thing about The Six O’Clock Show is that it always gets great guests because of the connection with the record companies and the movie companies.

"But there was a huge hole on the show to fill and anyone who watches the show would have agreed with that. Martin is perfect for it."He said: "It has been great and the partying will go on for another few months. Jenny bought me a trip to New York and we’re heading there at Christmas time, just the two of us."
