The work of Money Saving Expert founder Martin Lewis has helped one fan cut her energy bills by £1,300.
Mr Lewis made a request to energy suppliers after Prime Minister Liz Truss announced the Government would guarantee the average household will pay no more than £2,500 in energy bills.After receiving messages from some on fixed tariffs, who were worried they would lose out, Mr Lewis asked a number of big energy firms to make it so customers who end up on fixes at a higher rate than the price guarantee would be allowed to move to the firm's price guarantee tariff.
