Relative of Martin 'The General' Cahill arrested as gardai 'foil hit'
A relative of slain Martin "The General" Cahill was arrested alongside his associate last night as gardai believe they foiled a hit after recovering a loaded gun.

"There's no doubt that the gardai here may well have saved a life here by recovering that gun which was loaded and ready for use."
Investigators will also attempt to recover DNA from the weapon. A garda spokesman said: "While on patrol on Wellview Road, Dublin 15 members observed a vehicle travelling at high speed.
