Mary had lived in her family home for more than 20 years and was initially planning to renovate before she opted to move
Last year, Mary Kennedy made the move to a smaller, more modern, home just minutes away from the house where she raised her four children in Knocklyon, Co. Dublin.
.Speaking to RSVP Home, Mary explained it was a conversation with her son that made her see the light: “But I was getting some work done and my son, who is in the building business, said; ‘Why are you doing that when the rest of the house is still going to be 50 years old?’. He was right, so that was the deciding factor to do this.
One of the best benefits to moving to a newer home is the dramatic decrease in energy bills, says Mary.
