The Sinn Fein leader has accepted RTE's Prime Time leaders' debate invite GE2020

The broadcaster initially snubbed the Dublin TD and stated that only Fine Gael's Leo Varadkar and Fianna Fail's Micheal Martin would participate in the programme.

The Prime Time debate will be held on RTE One on Tuesday night. The leaders will fight it out for votes ahead of the General Election, for which polling day is on Saturday, February 8. "In addition, RTÉ has also decided it will invite the leaders of five other parties to a debate on Prime Time this Thursday night on RTÉ One.
