Morning Ireland presenter Mary Wilson has reflected on her career as she was recently inducted into the IMRO Hall of Fame earlier this month - she says she has 'come full circle'

The Morning Ireland presenter has been with the RTE Radio 1 show since September 2020.

When she moved to the Dublin newsroom, the first programme that Mary worked on was Morning Ireland as a reporter."The newsroom felt very familiar, coming back to somewhere I knew before. I was very happy to come to Morning Ireland. Instead of working late into the night, I now get up at four in the morning. I'm kind of an early bird, but that used to mean 7am!

She continued: "It's such a good programme to work on, you'd jump at the opportunity. Presenting with a team is lovely, very energising and we're kicking off the day's agenda to some extent, rather than reacting to it."
