A major blaze has broken out at a busy Evri depot. Orange flames can be seen coming from the building at Avonmouth.
In a social media post on X, formerly Twitter, it said: "We currently have 16 appliances in attendance at a warehouse fire in Avonmouth. If you live and work in the local area, we’d advise you to keep your windows and doors shut. More updates to follow." Witnesses took to Facebook to describe the scene and speculate about the cause. Some thought it was started by an electric vehicle however others said this was not the case and the cause was still unknown.
"The fire took hold and within about 6 mins the car then got battered by fire, to which at that point us being the building next to them had to move well away from the windows."
