Three arrests were made for immigration offences by the National Garda Immigration Bureau, and those detained will be deported from the State
A large-scale multi-unit Garda search operation was conducted at three sites in Dublin on Monday, resulting in the seizure of €87,000 worth of criminal assets and the arrests of three people.
It is reported that 140 gardaí from several units took part, including the Emergency Response Unit, the Garda National Immigration Bureau, the Garda National Protective Services Bureau, the Garda Dog Unit, the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau and the Garda National Public Order.
As a result, Gardaí seized €32,750 in cash, €15,000 in suspected cannabis herb and €40,000 worth of designer clothing, jewellery and shoes. A further €241,000 worth of assets was frozen across various bank accounts, and some financial documentation was seized.
