Gary Lineker has apparently been offered a big new job. It comes after the 62-year-old was suspended from Match of the Day because the BBC said he had breached guidelines by tweeting criticism of the UK Government's new policy towards asylum seekers.
Ian Wright, Alan Shearer and others all boycotted Saturday night's show as a result of the announcement. The programme went ahead in a reduced 20-minute highlights-only format without a studio presentation or post-match interviews, reports Birmingham Live.Now it has been reported that Mr Lineker has been offered a new job already. According to The Sun, BT Sport has reportedly approached the star.
