Brendan Rodgers is in the market to strengthen his squad as they get set to juggle Champions League and domestic commitments. Matt O'Riley is also looking likely to depart in a Scottish record transfer to Brighton in the coming days, giving the Hoops a burning hole in their pocket and they could be ready to reinvent in the LAFC man.
Reports from Poland claim that Celtic are "seriously interested" in the 22-year-old and talks are already underway to complete his transfer to Europe from the MLS before the transfer window slams shut at the end of the month. His numbers make for impressive reading with 16 goals and six assists from 32 games in all competitions. O'Riley hit those sort of numbers last term and that will make perfect reading for both Rodgers and the Parkhead faithful.
The same publication state a transfer fee would be in the region of £6.8million-8.5million and contract terms won't not be an issue. They also state he is 'very likely' to land a call-up from the Poland national team for the Nations League matches in September against Scotland at Hampden and Croatia on the road.
The link comes on the day it emerged Manchester City are considering a stunning move for Parkhead strike hero Kyogo Fuuhashi. The Japan star is being eyed by Pep Guardiola as they look to sign a frontman as back up to Erling Haaland.
