People including Matt Hancock's pub landlord and Michelle Mone, who were awarded government contracts during the pandemic under a controversial “fast track” process, could be called to give evidence to the Covid inquiry
A number of individuals who were given contracts had no previous experience in manufacturing PPE.
One of those contracted to provide equipment during the pandemic was Alex Bourne, who is a pub landlord and friend of Mr Hancock.that he has not yet been called by the inquiry but would be happy to provide evidence, including sharing private WhatsApps from the former health secretary, insisting he has “nothing to hide”.
