Matt Hancock 'too egotistical' to trigger by-election after I'm Celeb, says Tory councillor

The West Suffolk Conservatives Association put out a statement on November 3, saying they were “disappointed” by the MP’s decision to become a contestant on the show, and that it was a “serious error of judgment”. A number of individual councillorsPeter Stevens, West Suffolk councillor for the Withersfield ward, echoed this point.
A spokesperson for Mr Hancock said the MP used his time on the show to raise the profile of his dyslexia campaign.
