TV presenter Maya Jama has reportedly been left heartbroken as she and Australian professional basketball player Ben Simmons have allegedly called off their engagement and parted ways
The 27 year old, who recently borrowed Love Island star Indiyah Polack's signature hair look , is said to have called off their engagement last month over their busy work schedules.
“Maya called it off engagement after things came to head last month," a source told The Sun on Sunday. “She is not going back to New York now. It’s heartbreaking for both of them, especially as they were so committed to each other."“Maya has a bright future ahead of her with job offers coming in all over the world and is feeling positive," they shared, adding: "She has been hitting the gym a lot and spending time with her good friends.
"Ben adores Maya and has fallen head over heels for her," a source told The Sun at the time. "He picked up the ring on Jewellers' Row in the diamond district of Philadelphia the day before he proposed. During the Brits in February, which Maya co-hosted with Mo Gilligan, the comedian couldn't resist teasing the star over her recent engagement.Maya attempted to hide her £700,000 jewel from the cameras, but it was no use.
