Mayo manager Kevin McStay offered heartfelt support to his Crossmolina club as they prepare to face Ballinderry in the All-Ireland Intermediate football final at Croke Park. The final, originally scheduled earlier, was postponed for a fortnight following the tragic death of Róisín Cryan. Cryan was the fiancée of Mayo and Crossmolina footballer, Conor Loftus. Speaking after Mayo's Division 1, Round 1 defeat by Dublin at Croke Park, McStay extended his best wishes to the Crossmolina team.

'Our club tomorrow, Crossmolina, are in the final,' McStay stated. 'And I do want to reflect our best wishes to them from the squad. It's been obviously a very difficult time. We've a couple of great lads in our squad representing Crossmolina tomorrow so we're wishing them the very best. That's a very genuine best wishes from us. Tomorrow's their big day with Ballinderry. We're wishing them the very best. We're wishing Conor (Loftus) in particular the very best,' he concluded.McStay's words reflect the deep sense of empathy and solidarity within the GAA community as Crossmolina navigates this challenging period.
