Mayors from four Silicon Valley cities — San Jose, Santa Clara, Fremont and Palo Alto — will gather next Thursday morning to talk about the economic health of their communities.

The mayors are scheduled to take part in a panel conversation that's at the center of the Silicon Valley Business Journal's special Economic Forecast event being held at The Westin San Jose hotel in downtown. The panel will include a discussion on the mayors' budget priorities, their views on creating more housing, their approaches to taxing business and their take on what's happening with the rash of tech industry layoffs.

Besides the panel conversation, the event will feature an economic forecast from Aditya Bhave, Bank of America's senior U.S. and global economist. Bhave will talk about some of the macro economic trends that business owners need to be mindful of, especially given predictions of a recession by some analysts.

Members of the audience will get the chance to ask questions of Bhave during his presentation, as well as of the mayors at the end of the panel discussion.. The breakfast event also will include an opportunity to network with the panelists, fellow guests and the Business Journal staff.Join 4 local Mayors as they discuss the economic outlook for Silicon Valley. The event opens with a presentation from Bank of America's Senior US & Global Economist, Aditya Bhave.
