Szechuan Sauce will briefly return to McDonald’s lineup of dipping sauces on Thursday, March 31.
But it will only be available through the McDonald’s app, according to a news release. Customers can get it free with a purchase of Chicken McNuggets or buy as many as five packets a la carte. The condiment was launched in 1998 in a tie-in to the release of Disney’s original, animated version of “Mulan.” It created a social media stir when it was satirized in a 2017 episode of the Adult Swim cartoon series
