The MCU is making a big change for the better.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT With a new update on Ms. Marvel season 2, it appears Marvel Studios is finally learning from its Phase 4 problems that heavily affected the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of the major new characters that joined the MCU Phase 4 was Kamala Khan, but despite the character's breakout popularity, Marvel Studios has yet to greenlight Ms. Marvel season 2.

Ms. Marvel was just the beginning for Kamala as Iman Vellani is set to reprise the role of the teenage hero in The Marvels movie, starring alongside Captain Marvel and Photon. Talent behind the Ms. Marvel show have previously spoken out about needing a fan push for the character to continue on in the MCU. While the lack of certainty regarding the character's future can be frustrating, it ultimately shows that Marvel Studios may be improving their MCU Disney+ streaming release strategy.

Ms. Marvel Season 2 Depends On The Marvels' Success In a recent interview with The Playlist, Ms. Marvel directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were asked about what is going on with Ms. Marvel season 2. In response, El Arbi said that they are "waiting for ‘The Marvels,’ so that will decide what the next step will be" while adding, "It’s great to see the trailers and to see the whole family back there and Iman Vellani doing great work, so looking forward to that.

What We've Heard About Ms. Marvel Season 2 So Far While the world awaits an official Ms. Marvel season 2 renewal, there have been very few updates about what the show could do for another season. The show would likely explore more of Ms. Marvel's mutant powers, as well as feature the majority of the original cast. If Ms. Marvel season 2 ends up going forward, it would likely not happen until the MCU Phase 7 at the very latest, as Phase 6 already has multiple shows and movies lined up.
