She shared: “He was very sick, so much so they didn’t think he would make it through his first round of chemo.” "Tommy was obsessed with coffee slices from the shop. At one stage, the only thing I could get into him was a bit of pizza or chicken, so I was buying something all the time," she explained, highlighting the unexpected costs that piled up.Róisín admitted that before experiencing it firsthand, she never considered the sheer expense involved in frequent hospital visits and prolonged stays.

She said: “It helped hugely. Every little bit helps when you’re going through a situation like that.”
