Weight loss doesn't have to be miserable - Lorraine dropped a massive four stone and was still able to eat the foods she loved and have a treat every now and again

The Meath woman had felt her weight creep up over time to a point where she wasn’t feeling her best.

“For my health, it was getting too much. I was finding it very hard to keep up at work, as we would be fairly active. Even keeping up with my own young daughter was hard. I didn’t want to struggle so much and be overweight. For Lorraine, she felt like Slimming World was the right choice for her because it was a disciplined programme that she could follow along with. She joined the Slimming World group in Duleek and loved the support aspect she received from meeting in a group.

“You can still have your treats and you don’t feel like you’re restricted,” she explained. “But now, I usually fill up so much on the healthier foods that I don’t want to eat any rubbish in between. “It’s a complete transformation,” she added. “It’s not even about what my body looks like any more, it’s almost not even about the weight. It’s the whole transformation of how I feel about myself and the confidence I have gained.
