Cleveland's first permanent general hospital, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, has confirmed that this transition will be complete Nov. 11.
CLEVELAND — In September, News 5 reported that St. Vincent Charity Medical Center and the Sisters of Charity Health System announced they will no longer be providing emergency care or overnight hospital beds.
This transition came with a major downsizing. Of their 600 employees, only 100 will remain once the emergency department is closed.
