A man killed in a hit-and-run crash on the Southeast Side last month has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner.
Officers were called around 3:40 a.m. to the 7400 block of I-37 South northbound after receiving word of a person injured.
According to police, the victim, a man, was working on his broken down vehicle on the side of the road when he was struck by a passing vehicle. The man hit was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver fled after crash, but was found after witnesses were able to give details on where she fled to, police said. The woman was taken into custody without incident.
The name and age of the man killed have not yet been released. SAPD has not identified the woman arrested. Police did say that the woman will be charged with failure to stop and render aid, resulting in a death. The investigation is ongoing.
