rapper Megan Thee Stallion has signed a first-look deal with Netflix, which will see the megastar creating and executive-producing original content, as well as other projects, for the streamer.
"I've always had a passion for telling creative and entertaining stories, so I'm thrilled about this partnership with Netflix," Megan said in a statement. "Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and I can't wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch."
Netflix's head of comedy, Tracey Pakosta, also made a statement regarding Megan joining the Netflix family, saying, "Megan is a multi-talented creative force who has consistently made her mark on culture. She's always growing and evolving as an artist, and we're thrilled that she's making a home at Netflix for this next chapter in her journey."
The major Netflix news comes after Megan's ultra-successful last few years. The rapper took home three Grammy Awards in 2020—two for her hit song "Savage," which won Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song, and another for Best New Artist. She also recently graduated from Texas Southern University, a feat that she's mentioned she's been focused on accomplishing since her career first began to take off.celebrating her big day.
