The Duchess is 'going about her life in the present' Read full story here:
A spokesperson for the Duchess of Sussex has responded to reports published over the weekend alleging that she expressed concerns about unconscious bias within the Royal Family in a 2021 letter to her father-in-law.
The Telegraph reported that Meghan decided not to go the King's coronation "possibly because she feels she has not received a satisfactory response to her concerns".But a rep has denied such claims, telling the Los Angeles Times : "The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago.
"Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous. We encourage tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus that they alone are creating." According to reports, Meghan had written to Charles shortly after revealing in a TV interview with Oprah Winfrey that a member of the Royal Family had "concerns and conversations" about the skin colour of her and husband Prince Harry's eldest child Archie before he was born.
Charles reportedly reached out to Meghan following the interview to say he was disappointed that she and Harry felt the need to publicly discuss such damaging allegations, while she is believed to have responded that she was raising awareness about unconscious bias and wasn't accusing anyone in the family of being racist.
