Prince Harry and Meghan Markle both appeared at the Invictus Games but, according to a PR expert her 'own goal' has likely stopped them from quashing the split rumours surrounding their marriage.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared to show a very united front in a string of joint outings at the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany, as the ex-working royals spent five days together within the public eye at the sporting event.
But friends slammed the rumours as being "made up" as one person told Page Six: "It's not true, it's literally made up." Similarly Omid Scobie, one of the authors behind the biography Finding Freedom, also rubbished the claim on social media. CEO of PR agency Go Up, Ed Coram James, said the Sussexes are in the middle of a "PR storm" as he explained: "From a PR point of view it makes sense for them to go their professional ways for a period of time. Their professional brand, that as the husband-and-wife team 'the Sussexes' has become somewhat professionally toxic in the past year.
