Meghan Markle claimed she was 'surprised' by the behind the scenes formality of members of the royal family
Meghan Markle remembered the first time she met the Princess of Wales during her Netflix docuseries, making a comment on her formality when they were introduced.
In the second episode of 'Harry & Meghan', the Duchess of Sussex recalled when she met Prince William and Kate during the early days of her relationship with Harry and said they'd had dinner together at home, as writes the Mirror. "There is a forward-facing way of being, and then you close the door and go 'You can relax now', but that formality carries over on both sides. And that was surprising to me."
"We were in the car and we were going to Royal Lodge for lunch, and he's like 'Oh, my grandmother's here, we're going to meet her after church'. And I remember we were in the car driving up and he's like 'You know how to curtsy, right?' And I just thought it was a joke." Meghan and Harry quit The Firm in 2020, and tensions between them and the now Prince and Princess of Wales began to rise then, but things got worse when they hit out at the royal family in their controversial Oprah Winfrey interview.
