Meghan Markle made her social media comeback with a video of herself writing '2025' in the sand on a beach.

Meghan Markle has made her return to social media, making her first post since she married Prince Harry. To kick off the new year, Megan shared a video of her running on a beach. The Duchess of Sussex deleted all of her public social media accounts in January 2018, just after getting engaged to Prince Harry.

The video is in honour of the new year, as she walks along the beach before bending to write '2025' in the sand with her finger. Reports say the royal’s first post was filmed by Prince Harry near the couple’s home in Montecito, California. After deleting her social media in 2018, a Kensington Palace source told HuffPost: “Ms. Markle is grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years, however as she has not used them for some time she has taken the decision to close them.' She has teased a return previously in 2022. The Duchess has spoken out against internet hate in the past. During a Time100 talk in 2020, Meghan and Harry said there is a “global crisis of hate” happening online. “This isn’t solely a mental health or emotional well-being problem. This is a human problem,” Meghan said during her talk. “And what’s happening to all of us online is affecting us deeply offline.” She also spoke about being the most trolled person online in 2019. 'I’m told that in 2019, I was the most trolled person in the entire world ― male or female,” she said in a joint interview with her husband on an episode of the podcast “Teenager Therapy.
