Mel C is set to wed partner Chris Dingwall in a secret ceremony this weekend. The Spice Girl becomes the final member of the iconic group to walk down the aisle, having famously insisted for years that marriage wasn't for her. Earlier this year, she dropped hints that boyfriend Chris might have changed her mind.
She revealed in January: "It's something I didn't think would be part of my story, but I'm so happy with Chris. Maybe it is something that will be in my life.
"Her bandmates have all received invitations to the nuptials, taking place at a "beautiful" countryside venue in the UK. They have never seen her so happy," reports The 52 year old pop star went public with Australian model and screenwriter Chris in 2024 following a match on celebrity dating app Raya. In May, she shared how elements of her latest album Sweat drew inspiration from Chris.
She revealed: "Not long into making the record, I met somebody new, I fell in love, and so I ended up having this wonderful arc of emotions throughout the album – of heartbreak and then that excitement of a new relationship.
" Speaking to the Telegraph, she continued: "He's very laid-back. He's loads of fun...we work out together. We have very similar personalities and lifestyles.
" The singer has also recently discussed how she balances quality time with her partner while maintaining a demanding tour schedule. Mel explained: "Rather than separating work and life, I enjoy them both together, which has been a big shift. I think that really happened after I met my partner, Chris.
"He's able to travel with me a lot. He's a screenwriter so he can work from anywhere, and that usually means with me, which is good for me.
"Those close to the couple describe the wedding as the "icing on the cake" following an exceptional year for Mel. Only last week, she received the global impact award at the Nordoff And Robbins Silver Clef Awards at the Royal Albert Hall. She went on: "I stand here 30 years into my career, 52 years of age and this year I released an album that was my highest charting album in my entire solo career.
"A close friend revealed: "Mel is on fire at the moment. She is such a lovely person and deserves all the success both professionally, and now personally, as well.
" Geri wed Christian Horner in 2015, while Emma walked down the aisle with Jade Jones in 2021. Mel B exchanged vows with her third husband Rory McPhee last year, and Victoria tied the knot with David Beckham back in 1999. Mel shares daughter Scarlett with property developer Thomas Starr, her long-term partner before the couple went their separate ways in 2012.
After this, she was in a seven-year romance with her former manager Joe Marshall, which came to an end in 2022.
