The Department for Education issued a warning earlier this week
Schools across Merseyside are not impacted by the order by government ministers to immediately close after issues emerged around concrete in some buildings.
The notice came just hours before some schools were due to open their doors to pupils for the beginning of the new educational year. Local authorities across the Liverpool City Region have confirmed that council managed schools are not among those impacted to date.A spokesperson for Liverpool Council said it is not anticipated the authority will be contacted by the DfE, while in a short statement, Wirral Council confirmed all schools in the borough will open as planned next week.
"Nevertheless we will continue to closely monitor this matter and should any action be deemed necessary, we will communicate this directly with parents and staff."
