Met Eireann is predicting possible frosty and icy conditions this week as temperatures are expected to drop to -1C.
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Some of the showers will be heavy and may cause spot flooding. Cool with highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees, in a moderate to fresh westerly wind. "Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees in a light to moderate westerly wind, becoming southerly and freshening in the west through the evening.
Wednesday's current weather forecast predicts that rain in Ulster and Leinster will clear in the morning and pave the way for a day of sunny spells and scattered showers, with highs of 8C to 11C.
