After a number of consecutive weekends featuring thundery downpours, weather warnings and flooding, the long weekend looks to be a lot more settled
After a number of counties were battered by rain on Thursday night into Friday morning, there is some rare positive news on the weather front going into the October Bank Holiday weekend.

It will become drier and brighter in most areas through the afternoon as the cloud and rain clears northwards, although some showers will linger in the south. East to northeast winds will be mostly light to moderate but will be fresh at times in the south and west. Highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees.
