The greatest temperature rise was seen in spring, according to a new analysis
Ireland has become wetter and warmer in the three decades since 1991, according to a new analysis from Met Eireann.
The forecaster’s analysis of the 1991-2020 climate averages shows the average air temperature during that period was 0.7C higher compared to the previous thirty years. Spring saw the greatest temperature rise, with an increase of 0.8C between the two periods’ averages.
