Met Éireann have issued a status yellow rainfall warning for Cork, Waterford and the entirety of Leinster. Take note if you're out and about
With regards to the warning for Cork and Waterford, people in the counties are expected to face “outbreaks of heavy rain during Sunday which will lead to rainfall accumulations of 25 to 40mm, with the highest values in coastal areas.”As for the counties in Leinster, a status yellow rainfall warning is also in place.
However, the 12 counties are expected to see “scattered thundery downpours” that are set to “push northwards later Sunday and for a time on Monday. Rainfall totals of 25-40mm are possible in some areas over a short period. That particular warning is in place from Sunday, 23 June at 18:00 and it will last until Monday, 24 June at 06:00.Looking towards the forecast for the rest of the country tomorrow, Met Éireann said it would be a “damp start” to the day with heavy rain affecting mainly southern counties.“Parts of Ulster will start out dry and bright, though.
