Conditions are set to be brutal
Three separate status yellow wind warnings are in place for eight counties on Thursday, August 12 with conditions set to brutal.
South to southeast winds veering southwest are expected to reach average speeds of 40 to 50 km/h with gusts of up to 90 km/h. Winds will be strongest along the coast, as well as exposed and higher terrain. Very rough seas are expected too.Similar warnings have also been issued for Kerry and Cork, with those two ending at 11am and 1pm respectively.
