So much for summer weather...
However, the good news is conditions are likely to turn gradually more settled through the week as high pressure is set to dominate.towards the end of the week, according to Met Éireann.
Wednesday will be a dry day for most counties yet again with plenty of sunny spells. However, it will be cloudier over western coastal counties with patchy light rain and drizzle developing there through the day. Thursday will start quite cloudy with scattered patches of light rain and drizzle, becoming drier and brighter through the day, with sunny spells developing. Highest temperatures will reach 19 to 23 degrees.
