Just when we thought the warmer weather was about to return, the national forecaster has warned of potential thunderstorms, hail and flooding

Leinster, as well as Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, and Waterford are all at risk.A spokesperson for Met Eireann confirmed we can expect localised slow-moving showers with heavy downpours, potential thunderstorms and even a chance of hail. Those living in the affected areas so be aware and prepare for localised flooding, and take extra caution when driving as conditions will bring difficult travelling conditions.
The warning is in place from midday Monday until 10pm on Monday night, after which a temperature spike is set to hit.View gallery There is also a yellow thunderstorm warning in place for Fermanagh, Tyrone, Derry, as Met.ie warns that thunderstorms developing on Monday afternoon may bring some disruption.Thankfully, once the warnings pass, Tuesday will become a very warm day, with temperatures soaring to the high 20's, as Met Eireann confirmed we can expect highs of 27 degrees.
