Not great news on the weather front heading into the weekend.

According to the forecaster, southerly - later veering westerly - winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65km/h with gusts of 80 to 110 km/h.Before then, Wednesday will see mostly sunny spells with a fair amount of dry weather across Connacht and much of Leinster.
