Met Eireann has issued a weather advisory as more rain is likely to cause flooding in the coming days.
"We badly need a settled spell of weather or flooding is going to become a serious issue and I’m not sure we are ready for it?" he wrote on Twitter. Lowest temperatures tonight will be 6 to 9C, coldest in the east of the country before the rain hits.
