Intense rainfall has led to substantial flooding in certain areas of the southeastern region, where over 30mm of rain has been documented in parts of Waterford and Kilkenny

Met Eireann has issued a status orange rain warning is in effect for Kilkenny, Wexford, and Waterford, indicating heavy and persistent rain with possible thundery downpours.

The warning has been issued for Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow, Roscommon, Clare, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, Galway, and Mayo. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated on the weather conditions.
