The warmer temperatures are staying around for the foreseeable future but it won't be all sunshine and blue skies as some places will see rain fall over the coming days
Met Eireann has pinpointed which parts of the country will see rain this week as highs of 26C continue.
Looking at today's weather , a Met Eireann forecaster said: "Today will be dry for most with long spells of hazy sunshine. "Highest temperatures of 22 to 26 degrees, warmest away from east and south coasts, in moderate easterly breezes, fresh on the south coast.""Tomorrow will bring sunny spells, with cloud building at times, producing isolated showers."Warm again overnight, with temperatures not falling below 15 to 17 degrees.
Looking ahead to the remainder of the week, the national forecaster says the weather will remain "very warm, both by day and night, with thundery showers breaking out at times."Met.ie says: "A mostly dry start, with scattered heavy or thundery showers developing later in the day.
