The Irish Meteorological Service, Met Eireann, has issued a long-range forecast predicting warmer than average temperatures and lower than average precipitation for December, ruling out a white Christmas for Ireland.
After several days of snow last week, people are wondering if we will get any snowfall around the holidays, with many hoping we will get a traditional Christmas Day.

Thursday, 28 November There'll be some hazy sunshine to start the day in the north and east on Thursday but cloudy and damp in the south and west with outbreaks of rain developing. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will extend across most of the country during the afternoon but rainfall totals will be small in Leinster and east Ulster with some areas holding dry. Highest temperatures of 7 to 13 degrees with fresh and gusty southeast winds and gales in Atlantic coastal areas.
