One county managed to escape the rain in this updated warning
Met Éireann has updated the Yellow Rain alert put in place earlier on Wednesday, with four more counties set to be battered by heavy rain throughout Thursday and Friday.
In the update, the national forecaster warned that from tomorrow into Friday evening there will be persistent rain that may turn heavy leading to possible flooding and poor visibility with difficult travelling conditions. Luckily for those in one Leinster county, the rain alert that was in place has since been removed. Wexford was initially included in the Met Éireann alert but this has since been lifted for the southeast town.
"Rain will arrive along the south coast later in the afternoon and spread northwards," a Met Eireann spokesperson said of Thursday. "Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees with light northeast breezes.
